IDEP, STEP & the NCIDQ

IDEP – Independent Design Experience Program – is an optional, paid program administered by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). The program is designed for entry-level interior designers and monitors and documents your early years of employment prior to taking the NCIDQ. To learn more, click here.

STEP – Self-Testing Exercises for Pre-Professionals – is an optional 2 ½ day workshop developed by ASID to help you prepare for the NCIDQ. Workshops are offered at various times throughout the U.S. Click here to learn more.

NCIDQ – National Certification for Interior Design Qualification is an independent organization that serves to identify to the public those interior designers who have met the minimum standards for professional practice by passing the 2-day NCIDQ Examination.
